Native American Kids playing NDN Language Toy. Language revitalization is more important now than ever in Indian Country. Introducing your child to their tribal languages at a young age is a gift that will last your child's entire lifetime. Young children have a natural ability to learn new languages, and they are more likely to be fluent and speak with a native accent if exposed to the new language before the age of six.

IT SPEAKS!

Each character identifies itself and makes an amusing sound when placed in the base. By simply playing with the toy, your child is immersed in a multi-sensory learning environment that combines seeing, hearing and touch!

IT ASKS!

NDN Linguist asks your child to find characters, identify colors and match sounds. The 15 adorable characters encourage your child to play with new words and phrases for hours.

IT KNOWS!

NDN Linguist features an advanced computer chip that tracks your child's progress and automatically responds with increasingly challenging play. Your child will progress through three levels of learning from simple words to full sentences.

IT GROWS!

The Cherokee Version comes of course with a Cherokee cartridge, as well as an English cartridge. Other Native languages will be added as tribes show interest. Lobby your tribal council to add your tribal language! Other cartridges (sold separately) include French, German, Spanish and Japanese. Each NDN Linguist comes with an informational guide: Language, Learning and your Child

TMI's CEO Don Thornton's interest in neuroscience and brain development led to a relationship with Neurosmith to adapt NDN Linguist to Native languages as a tool for revitalization.
